• Engage in class teaching, administrative academically, discipline, extra and co-curricular activities
  • Class teaching and foster purposeful progression inconsistent with the LA’s and programmes of subjects and grades as determined by the department
  • Prepare lessons, leadership of subjects, LA or phase
  • Plan/co-ordinate, control, administer, evaluate and report on learner progress academically
  • Use variety of strategies to meet curriculum outcomes
  • Establish class environment which stimulate positive learning, use learner knowledge as fundamental and valuable resource
  • Assist HOD to identify issues of special attention and address them, Assist Principal to oversee discipline, counselling of learners
  • Organise and conduct extra and co-curricular activities, Co-ordinate and control academic activities of each subject taught, Control and co-ordinate stock equipment used and required
  • To also do the following: Non teaching admin work
  • Secretary to staff meetings
  • Fire drill, first aid, timetabling, collect fees and other monies, staff welfare, accidents
  • Stand for Principal in the absence of the Deputy Principal and / or HOD if both absent
  • Collaborate with educators of other schools for development, meet parents for progress and conduct issues
  • Liaise with Department for professional committees and other outside agents
